We hit our fourth stretch goal!
Every copy of Factions of Sol will now have upgraded cards with a beautiful linen finish! We’re so excited to have reached this milestone in our last few days on Kickstarter.
We also have another surprise announcement: Factions of Sol is now available on Tabletopia! Tabletopia is an online sandbox arena for board games. They have a wide variety of board games you can play from your browser- and now Factions of Sol is one of them! As our campaign comes to a close, there’s now less just over a day for us to reach our next stretch goal: The Voidwalkers! The Voidwalkers are an incredibly unique faction to play and they come with an amazing new miniature. We would love to include them in every single game of Factions of Sol. So let’s do our best to raise the $5,000 needed to get there!

NEW ADD-ON: 3D Planet stands! (Plus, only two days left to pledge!)

As we get into the final hours of our campaign, we wanted to do something special as a thank you for making Factions of Sol happen. So, we’re announcing a brand new add-on, our 3D PLANET STANDS!
The Planet Stand add-on takes the planets and lifts them off the game board, giving you a 3D view of the solar system as you play the game. Including eight 5cm plastic stands and eight acrylic planet pieces, this add-on adds a whole new dimension to your Factions of Sol experience.
The Planet Stand add-on is an alternate to the regular planet tokens included in the game, and the design is still subject to change as it is finalized in the next few weeks.

Three down, four to go!!
Thank you for all your help getting us to this milestone in our campaign! With this goal unlocked, every Factions of Sol game box will come with a textured linen finish, and the box will be highlighted with a foil stamp to make it shine. With every pledge we get, your copy of Factions of Sol gets better and better—and our team is so excited to deliver a game that you’ll be proud of.
So here’s to unlocking more stretch goals! The next mission we have our eyes set on is Stretch Goal #4: Upgraded Cards. With this improvement, every card in the game will come with a higher quality linen finish, leveling up your gameplay experience with every touch.
Not able to pledge our Venus Level? Pledge $1 now, and you’ll get access to our pledge manager, where you can increase your pledge later, and gain access to all our post-campaign add-ons! You’ll also help us donate games to an organization near you. Remember that our campaign ends on October 13th, at 9am—so get your pledges in! Stretch Goal #2 Unlocked! Game Donations Doubled!

Less than a week in and we've officially hit our second stretch goal! Thank you all so much for your continued support!
So what exactly is our second stretch goal? The Scenario Book contains extra ways to play Factions of Sol, so you'll never run out of things to keep coming back to. Some highlights include:
- A cooperative mode for 2-4 players
- Achievements to work towards in games
- 8 Faction specific scenarios for regular, cooperative, or solo games
If you know anyone who might like these additions, let them know about Factions of Sol so we can start working on our next stretch goal: the Upgraded Box! This goal will let us upgrade the quality of materials we use to make the box, and will let us add a foil stamp to make some parts of the box shine!
We also have an announcement about our Game Donation stretch goal! When we started making Factions of Sol, we always knew that we wanted to make access to board games a priority. As poor college students, our exposure to board games came largely from demos at our local game store, or free game nights at the library. Now that we are funded and smashing through our stretch goals, we want to put our money where our mouth is, so we're doubling the game donations that we're making. Now, for every 25 backers we get—no matter how much they pledge—we'll donate a game to a place of our backers choice. So far that means 11 games to libraries, schools, and local game stores, but we hope that number can get much much higher.
Finally, if you're excited about any of our future stretch goals and want to help us get there, there are two simple things you can do:
1. Ask us questions!
The more comments we have on our page, the more Kickstarter will recommend Factions of Sol to new people. That way, you get to know more about the game AND help others find us!
2. Get others to back!
Even if people only back for $1, the Kickstarter algorithm loves seeing large backer numbers, so it'll help us get recommended to even MORE people!
